Dan leads the NHST’s external communications, including our media activity and social media presence to grow the NHST’s profile.
Dan’s career has seen him focus on corporate, political and public communications through which he has advised clients and worked in-house. Prior, he worked at the Policy Research Unit where he provided research and support to MPs, members of the Cabinet and the Prime Minister.
He is also Head of PR for the ‘Freedom to Donate’ campaign which successfully spearheaded the change in rules on blood donation. He sat as a representative on the NHSBT FAIR (NHS Blood and Transplant For the Assessment of Individualised Risk) steering group where he worked with stakeholders including the Department of Health and Social Care.
