NHST’s Chris Sandford writes in PinkNews about the challenges facing LGBT+ and HIV+ people as they age and require support in their retirement.

Highlighting the fears of the LGBT+ community having to go back in the closet for their retirements, he also acknowledges that LGBT-only retirement communities are not the answer.

In order for everyone to have the same choices available to them, there needs to be better understanding of LGBT+ issues. This is also the case for people living with HIV.

The NHST is committed to improving understanding of HIV through our educational work.

Chris’s full article is available to read on PinkNews.
