At the end of July, National HIV Story Trust (NHST) co-founders Paul Coleman and Nick Thorogood held a keynote session at The National Archives’ Discovering Collections, Discovering Communities conference in Durham.
Paul and Nick introduced the work of the NHST, its growth and future plans. Central to their presentation was the importance of capturing, preserving and retelling stories and ensuring they constantly reach new audiences.
In addition to explaining the reason for the founding of the NHST, Paul and Nick set out their approach to storytelling, how the organisation has sought to make its collection as accessible as possible and our future aims.
We also used the opportunity to exhibit our HIVstory project stand, which you can find out more about here.
