We have several roles (digital and fundraising) available on our committee of dedicated and passionate volunteers!

Please contact us via [email protected] telling us about yourself or with any questions.

Social Media Lead

The NHST is looking for someone to join our team as Social Media Lead as we enter an exciting new phase for the charity!

This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead and ramp up the NHST’s social media presence to reflect the charity’s growth. You will work closely with the wider Comms team and will ideally have experience and understanding of how to maximise engagement and reach on our social media channels.

You will support the NHST’s ambitions of ensuring the history of HIV is secured, of increasing understanding of HIV and of tackling stigma. You will be driven and proactive in identifying opportunities for the NHST to maximise these ambitions.

We are a team of dedicated volunteers and envision this role will require a couple of hours a month.

You may also possess the skills or interest to take on responsibility for our Google Ads campaigns (below).

Google Ads Lead

As the NHST enters the next stage of growth, we are seeking someone to help us drive our Google presence.

We are continuously looking at how to increase our profile and raise awareness of our activities in support of our aims of ensuring the history of HIV is secured, of increasing understanding of HIV, and of tackling stigma.

Working with the wider Comms team, you will help to deliver a coordinated strategy of publicising the NHST’s activities, raising its profile and assisting in establishing the Trust as a thought leader in the HIV history and education space.

Experience of Google Ads is preferred but not essential as we will provide an introduction.

Fundraiser

Building from successful grant applications over the last year, the NHST is looking for two additional volunteers to help grow our expertise, network and capacity to develop our fund raising channels.

We are particularly interested in people with backgrounds in working with major donors or trusts who can help us towards our ambitious fund raising targets as we aim to facilitate the charity realising it’s ambitious goals, including the creation of a film from our interviews.

Areas of focus:

  • grant/trust applications – finding and applying for suitable grants for projects or charity overhead
  • major donors – development of major donor contacts who could support the charity now or in the future
  • corporate engagement (e.g. pharmaceutical companies, City firms, tech companies, etc) – grant application, corporate giving, LGBT network engagement

Time commitment is flexible but a minimum of two hours per month and ideally more in the early stages of building our network.

Donate

Your generous support helps us to secure, preserve and protect the stories of the HIV and AIDS pandemic. In doing so, we can ensure the stories continue to be retold to younger generations, including through the arts and education.
